I’ve just posted two recordings of “Xerxes,” my “angry concert march.” You can find the recordings — including one from a rehearsal (!) by the US Coast Guard Band — here. (The Coast Guard is currently performing the piece on tour.)

Amazing piece. I told one of my band director colleagues that this piece was the dirtiest piece for band I've ever heard, and I mean that in the most flattering was possible. It's like the concert setting of "Closer" by Nine Inch Nails.
