M.I.A.
My new monitor is arriving this afternoon, so I’m going to disconnect my computer and everything on my desk in order to make room. These activities are strangely fun (and comforting) for me. The disconnecting of wires isn’t that exciting, but rewiring everything from scratch, in an effort to make everything look perfect — that’s fun.
And seeing the new monitor when it’s finally in place is going to be sweet. It’s about twice the size of my current monitor, and it’s widescreen, so it will look pretty striking — even if it wastes most of its time displaying Finale scores.
And the smell of new electronics… Mmm… For me, that smell is up there with the smell of baking cookies or hot beef stew or even the smell of trees after a spring rain. Really, the smell of new electronics may trump them all. But I’m kind of a freak.

It’s a Wrap
Last night’s performance here at KU was fantastic, and today’s recording session somehow captured the same energy. It was a long day, and I don’t know how the players stuck with it for the four hours it took to record “Redline Tango,” but man, we have some great stuff on tape. I can’t wait to hear the edit in a few months.
Now, it’s naptime, in preparation for an evening out with John Lynch and the recording producers and engineer.
I’m so excited about this recording…

Zeppelin rulez
I was just checking my stats page to see where my latest links were coming from. This has to be the coolest one ever.
Yes, I’m mentioned on a forum on Led-Zeppelin.com. I kid you not.
Check it out.
