Tango

I think this was the first full piece I completed when I started my freshman year of college at the Cleveland Institute of Music. I was obsessed with the William Walton viola concerto at the time, and first thought I would try writing a viola concerto, initially with two pianos as the accompaniment. That was where it stayed, and with only one movement. This was also the first time I wrote a tango - a genre I've returned to many times since.
